Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Medium and Sand

Review: Maybelline Fit Me! Concealer in Sand & Medium

Happy start of the week! And good luck on your week ahead because I know I will need it. The lucky product to slip under my vigorous screening process as of late is the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in both Sand 20 and Medium 25. I’ve been hearing that this Fit Me concealer is a great dupe of the NARS Radiant Creamy concealer so it sounds very promising to me! 🙂 I initially bought this concealer in the Sand colour at my local supermarket thinking it wouldn’t be too far off in colour. But it turns out my guesstimation was sadly wrong and I needed to pick up the next colour up in Medium. I think this experience just tells me to stop buying foundation-type face products from the supermarket when I don’t have a tester to try out. Lesson learnt and note taken. Prior to getting these Maybelline Fit Me concealers I was using the Rimmel Match Perfection concealer and had run through about 4 of those babies before I decided to make a switch …

40 Beauty Questions Tag

40 Beauty Questions Tag – Everyday Skincare & Favourite Makeup Products

Hi guys! I’ve been reading a lot of other girl’s beauty questions tags and have learnt a lot about the products that they love to use according to their tastes and skin so I thought it would be a bit of fun to do one as well. Also, it’d be great for those reading my usual beauty reviews to get an idea of my beauty favourites and habits to to understand my preferences with makeup and skincare as this will most definitely dictate the type of products I buy and review. So here it is! PS: Not sure if anyone else has counted the number of questions in this tag but there’s actually 42 questions. Perhaps someone got cheeky and added an extra 2 questions in the chain. SKINCARE How many times do you wash your face daily I thoroughly wash my face once at night and tend to leave it in the morning as my skin gets this great slept-in glow. What skin type do you have? (dry, oily, combo) I’d say I have a …

Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy 330 Impassioned Red Lipstick Open

Review: Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Lipstick 330 Impassioned

Hey all! If you’re anything like me, finding the perfect shade of red lipstick has been on your beauty wish list for yonks. Don’t you just yearn for that sexy, demure red lip look with a bold intense cat eye? Talk about a total pin-up goddess! For today, I’ll be reviewing the Pure Color Envy Sculpting Lipstick in 330 Impassioned by Estee Lauder. So a red lipstick huh. Any red lipstick will do right? Wrong. You might think finding a shade of red is as easy as a finding a good old shade of pink but it is significantly harder than that. In fact, finding the correct red lipstick is really much like finding the right shade of foundation. For foundations you will have the usual cool, warm and neutral undertones. With red lipstick, the colour can have a tinge of blue/cool to orange/warm tones too which can greatly affect how it looks and suits your face. The process of choosing one is quite complicated really and you can only keep on trying reds from …

Maybelline Hyper Sharp Wings Liquid Eyeliner Pen

Review: Maybelline Hyper Sharp Wing Liquid Brush Eyeliner

Hi there! For today’s review I’ll be looking at the versatile and new Hyper Sharp Wing Liquid Eyeliner Pen from Maybelline. Ever since I’ve started using liquid eyeliners I had never strayed from the pen types with actual brush tips but have stayed far away from felt tip type liquid eyeliners. What’s the difference between the felt tip liquid eyeliners and the brush tips you might ask? The flow of product through the pen would be THE biggest feature I look for in a liquid eyeliner pen besides the opaqueness of the eyeliner formula. Quite frankly, the felt tips dry ridiculously faster than the brush tips when exposed to air (just like felt tip markers) which leave underwhelming dry streaks when you try to use it on your skin. Brush tipped liquid eyeliners, on the other hand, I have found to be much better at letting the eyeliner liquid flow through due to the many gaps in between each bristle. The exposed surface area of felt tipped liquid eyeliners just crusts over and refuses to allow much …
