2015 Christmas Gifts: Beauty Product First Impressions

Hey guys just a quick post of the things I received this Christmas. I think from the looks of things there’s going to be a lot of reviews coming up! I love how everyone this year decided that makeup is the theme that all my Christmas gifts should follow. I guess everyone got the memo! Haha. 🙂 Thank you to everyone in my life that has given me a little something this year. It really is a first world problem to receive or not to receive a gift for Christmas as these gifts are really just a luxury to have. 1. Chi Chi Viva La Diva Lipstick sets in the nude and vibrant colours First Impression: All lipsticks are very vibrant and glide on extremely smoothly. The finish is almost velvety and from what I can see they don’t transfer much. 2. Chi Chi Nail Polish set in pinks 3. Mac Matte Lipstick in Whirl First Impression: Super smooth to apply and reminds me of the signature Kylie Jenner-esque brown lip shades. 4. Urban Decay Wende’s …

Mon Purse Small Monogrammed Leather Bag Black

Review: Mon Purse Personalised Leather Bag Pouch

I know the same girls who enjoy the minimalistic chic look are the same ones that have been eyeing the gorgeous monogrammed leather bags and accessories on Instagram lately. I speak from experience. Apart from the obvious fact that personalised leather bags are just classic, they are basically anti-theft. Really thief, your initials are the same as mine? I have always craved the look of these fancy embossed or monogrammed items but have never actually pushed myself to get one. This whole year I’ve been on something like a spending ban but it’s really more like the trying-to-save goal for my first home. And I’m glad to report that the increase in this years savings my future home is safe…within a strained reach for me after a fair few years because ‘Sydney’ that’s why. To treat myself for being so strict on my spending this year, I ordered my very first personalised leather pouch from Mon Purse, an Australian accessories brand who sources their leather products from Europe. As I’ve been having a ridiculous infatuation with black and …

Sukin Rosehip Oil Packaging Box

Review: Sukin Rosehip Oil – Organic Rosehip Face Oil

If you’re getting to or already at the age where you need to start taking a bit more care of your skin, you might have heard of facial oils. Facial oils are usually derived from one pure ingredient or mixture of ingredients used instead of or in conjunction with your moisturising routine. Depending on the benefits of the ingredients of your facial oil, you can target various issues you might have with your skin. For this review I’m going to test out the wonderful Sukin Rosehip oil. The Sukin Rosehip oil is made of pure Rosehip oil which contains fatty acids as omega-3 and vitamin E. The benefits of Rosehip oil is in that it can help speed up the process of regenerating skin cells and damaged skin such as scars, wrinkles and stretch marks. The benefits of Rosehip oil sound very similar to Bio Oil which is another brand of skin oil. Both Rosehip oil and Bio Oil claim to reduce scarring and stretch marks in a similar way. However, since the rage of …

So here is my 10 Christmas Beauty Questions Tag! 1. Have you been naughty or nice this year with your skincare routine? Since starting my full-time job and wearing makeup everyday there are nights where I just wipe my face down with some cleansing water and slump into bed. And as expected …

My Beauty Diary Face Mask Birds Nest Review

Review: My Beauty Diary Face Mask – Bird’s Nest Face Mask

I hope everyone’s had a great week so far since it is the start of silly season and Blogmas! Bring on the blog posts, feasts and sales shopping! This instalment is on the My Beauty Diary Face Mask in the Bird’s Nest version. To cut the crap, bird’s nest isn’t actually the nest that you’re imagining. It’s the nest of a sparrow made of its own saliva, Linda says nonchalantly as she’s seen enough products made from it in her time. Haha but in all seriousness it’s a type of Asian herb? medicine? that is considered to be very nutritious and good for your skin whether consumed or directly applied. As you might have noticed, most face masks catered to the Western market are the wash off kind but for the East Asian market, sheet masks are queen. Although I use both types because of their different benefits, I find sheet masks to be easier to handle. With sheet face masks you don’t have to waste extra time washing any product off or have the issue …
