Comparing on Social Media – Not All People Are What They Post To Be

How many of us are guilty of getting onto Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or any other social network to only say “I wish my life was as fun/successful/happy as (insert person)”. It’s in our nature to benchmark ourselves on our progress in comparison to others because we’ve had it done to us all our lives! What is Social Comparison? My new year was spent with a group of my closest friends under the moonlight with some snacks on a quaint beach listening to the sound of the waves come onto the shore. I guess I’d like my whole year to be like this – so simple yet heartwarming.
